Mr. Hammond is Senior Vice President of Business Development and Operations at EFC. Prior to joining EFC, Mr. Hammond spent 9 years at Dell, Inc. in Austin, Texas and Xiamen, China where he served as a consultant on the Chairman’s Office Corporate Strategy team. While at Dell he headed development of Dell’s global PC recycling service and led various strategic planning and marketing roles in the company’s Services business. Prior to joining Dell, Mr. Hammond was a consultant at KPMG Consulting and The San Francisco Consulting Group. He has consulted to clients in a wide variety of industries that include Energy, Financial Services, Telecommunications, Transportation and High-Tech. Mr. Hammond began his professional career with Andersen Consulting in the firm’s San Francisco office. While with Andersen he advised Pacific Gas and Electric’s Power Generation division in support of the deregulation of California’s electricity markets.
Mr. Hammond holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities (Chinese literature) from Brigham Young University and an MBA from the Marriott School, also at Brigham Young University, where he was an Eccles International Scholar. He also studied at Nanjing University in the People’s Republic of China, and is proficient in Cantonese and Mandarin Chinese, as well as conversational French. Mr. Hammond serves on the Board of Directors of The HeartGift Foundation, a children’s charity based in Austin, Texas.
